NOTE:

There is a page about language games on the Kuala Terengganu Fellows 2012 site.

Fellow Peter Wickham's (new) site has (or will soon have) a lot of material about the Communicative approach to ESL - which tends to use games.

Language Games

Make sure you check our new site Kuala Terengganu Fellows 2012 to find more Language games and information about the Communicative Method of teaching.

Interactive Learning Activities Workshop - Introduction

Here is the handout with notes from the IPGKDRI workshop in August 2011. At the workshop we experienced the following activities:
  • I Like People Who
  • What Are You Doing?
  • Yesterday I Went Hunting
  • Running Dictation (we used phonetic script, but you wouldn't have to do that)
  • We had intended to also play "Typhoon", but we ran out of time (and energy - it was during Ramadhan). More information about Typhoon can be found on the ELTC Conference page where we did a brief workshop on it. There are also downloadable notes about Typhoon on the Language Description page.
